(May 20, 2025) Multiple patents have been successfully registered this year, including technologies for interactive virtual-reality fire extinguishers and collision acceleration profiles.

(November 20, 2024) Our team received multiple awards at AsiaHaptics 2024. “Wearable Haptic Device to Render 360-degree Torque Feedback on the Wrist” received both the People’s Choice Award and Honorable Mention. Additionally, “Pneumatically Controlled Tactile Actuating Modules for Enhanced VR Safety Training” won an Honorable Mention. Congratulations, Seungchae, Shadman, and Ahsan! 🏆
(August 30, 2024) Shadman and Ahsan received the Outstanding Paper Award at the Korea Haptics Society Conference 2024 for their paper “Silicone-Made Tactile Actuator Integrated with Hot Thermo-Fiber Finger Sleeve.” Congrats! 🏆

(October 15, 2023) Mudassir’s paper, “Predicting Perceptual Haptic Attributes of Textured Surface from Tactile Data Based on Deep CNN-LSTM Network,” was accepted for an Oral Presentation at ACM VRST 2023!

(September 1, 2022) We kicked off the “Non-Wearable Visuo-Haptic Digital Twin Interface Platform” project funded by IITP-MSIP (2022-2026).
(August 15, 2022) Several journal papers were published in prestigious journals this year, including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Haptics, and Springer Applied Intelligence.
(April 1, 2022) We started the “Realistic Media COSS Project” supported by NRF Korea (2022-2025) and a joint project with KRISS on “Development of Tactile Standards and High-Fidelity Integrated Haptic System” (2022-2025).
(March 10, 2022) Prof. Jeon published a new book chapter, “Haptic Software Design,” in the Springer Series on Touch and Haptic Systems and a Korean book titled “The Future of Metaverse: Hyper Realistic Interaction”.

(December 20, 2020) We received the Best Paper Award in Computer Graphics and Interaction at the Korea Software Congress 2020! 🏆
